Taylor, Paul (Belville)
(n. 29 jul. 1930, Wilkinsburg, Pa., EE.UU.).

Bailarín, coreógrafo y director de danza moderna estadounidense. En 1953 se integró a la compañía de Martha Graham, donde fue uno de los solistas principales de ballet hasta 1960. En 1957 fundó la Paul Taylor Dance Company. Como coreógrafo utilizó una amplia variedad de estilos de movimiento, algunos de los cuales describió como "flat (de apariencia bidimensional), "dance scribbling (con énfasis en la acción antes que en la forma o la línea) y "lyric ("brazos elongados). Entre sus obras destacan Duet (1957), Aureole (1962), Orbs (1966) y Nightshade (1979). En 1993 formó el Taylor 2, un grupo pequeño de bailarines que se presenta en escenarios más reducidos y que enseña el estilo Taylor.
